Morgan City police make arrests on theft, marijuana charges

Morgan City police made two arrests Tuesday on theft warrants and two more on marijuana possession charges.

Morgan City
Police Chief James F. Blair reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 29 calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
—Jeremy Thompson, 34, North Pineville Street, Winnfield, was arrested at 12:14 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant alleging theft ($1,000-$5,000).
—Terrence Scott 18, Bayou Black Drive, Gibson, was arrested at 3:14 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of possession of marijuana.
—Da’Khari Clark, 19, Guzzetta Drive, Berwick, was arrested at 3:22 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of possession of marijuana.
—Blake Pojar, 18, Federal Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 8 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant alleging theft ($1,000-$5,000).

St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith ad-vised that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 26 complaints and made these arrests:
—Marion Wayne Webb, 47, Lufkin, Texas, was arrested at 8:37 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of reckless operation (no accident), driving while intoxicated and open container. Bail was set at $5,000.
—Kevin Bruce Lynch Sr., 50, Patterson, was arrested at 1:52 p.m. on charges of failure to register as a sex offender and duty of a sex offender to notify of change of address, and on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the same charges. Bail has been set at $50,000.

Franklin
Police Chief Morris Beverly reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to seven complaints over the past 24 hours and made this arrest:
—Breonne Bowie, 33, Lockette Road, Franklin, was arrested at 9:08 a.m. Tuesday on a 3rd Ward City Court warrant alleging failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension and traffic control signals. Bowie was booked, processed and released on a $350 bond.
