Morgan City police report domestic abuse, DWI arrests

Morgan City police reported two arrests on domestic abuse-related charges over the weekend. Three more arrests resulted in drunken-driving charges.

Morgan City

Police Chief Chad M. Adams reported that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Morgan City Police Department responded to 110 calls for service and made these arrests:

--Dylan D. Robinson, 24, Chennault Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 6:41 a.m. Sunday on charges of domestic abuse battery, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

--Adonte Williams, 18, Tiffany Street, Patterson, was arrested at 2:51 p.m. Sunday on charges of battery of a dating partner, aggravated assault upon a dating partner, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

--Lionel L. Granger III, 57, Leona Street, Morgan City, was arrested at midnight Saturday on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense), reckless operation of a vehicle and driver must be licensed.

--Charles Robinson Sr., 63, Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:09 p.m. Saturday on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense), improper lane usage and no seat belt.

--Angel G. Lazcano, 26. Lousia Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:07 a.m. Sunday on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense) and careless operation,

--Frank Johnson Jr., 56, Maine Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:30 p.m. Friday on a charge of disturbing the peace (drunkenness).

--Jeffery P. Perrillioux, 54, La. 308, Lockport, was arrested 8:40 a.m. Friday on charges of disturbing the peace (drunkenness) and remaining after forbidden.

--Derek Gould Jr., 37, Verson Street, Berwick, was arrested at 11:17 a.m. Friday on a warrant alleging five counts of failure to appear for trial (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Jessica R. Pearce, 34, Levee Road, Morgan City, as arrested at 11:44 p.m. Friday on a warrant alleging simple battery.

--Gary W. Skyes, 45, Gen. Patton Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:27 p.m. Saturday on a warrant alleging failure to appear (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

Chitimacha

Police Chief B.C. Trahan reported these arrests:

--John James, 61, Martin Luther King Road, Charenton, was arrested Dec. 22 on warrants obtained from an investigation Dec. 17 alleging misdemeanor sexual battery. He was already incarcerated at St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center at the time and the St Mary Parish Sheriff's Office assisted in serving the warrant.

--Quavondlon T Jacob, 23, Deare Street, New Iberia; was arrested Thursday on a charge of battery of a dating partner (strangulation) and two fugitive warrants through Iberia Parish alleging failure to appear. He was transported to St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

--Markila A Ruffin, 39, Queens Court, Orange, Texas, was arrested Thursday on warrants obtained from an investigation Oct. 30, 2019, alleging theft (misdemeanor) and unauthorized use of an access card. She was released on a summons.

--Gabrielle C Provost, 19, Samantha Creek Drive, Little Elm, Texas, was arrested Saturday on a charge of underage entry into a gaming facility. She was released on a summons.
